About Ollie

Personality: Affectionate, Friendly, Funny, Playful, Curious, Loves Kisses

Ollie, our 1 year old 20 pound spaniel mix, is loving being a dog. No thanks to the person who left him starved in a kennel by the side of the road. We're trying to forget this and have given up our attempt to track this person down. Turns out, we're better at fixing dogs than we are at vigilante justice. Instead, we'll work on completing Ollie's revenge tour by finding him a home.

When Ollie was found, he was only 11 pounds. He was so weak he couldn't stand; instead he would scoot like a worm toward people to try and get some affection. His treatment was time and food. Now Ollie is a party animal and the days of scooting are behind him.

Ollie is a very playful, active young dog. He's been camping (loved it), hiking (rave reviews), and is a fan of long walks. Ollie is even getting the hang of little jogs. He loves a squeaky toy, even though the squeaker may be quickly dissected out. At home, Ollie is great with other dogs and is respectful of the cats.

Ollie is good when left alone (in a crate or in a room) and is not destructive. He is nearly potty trained, but has marked in his foster home. Now that Ollie is neutered, this behavior should continue to improve. Ollie is not leash reactive and likes meeting other dogs when out and about.

Ollie is a very cuddly, friendly dog. However, it may take him a few moments to warm up. Ollie has mild stranger danger and will bark at new people entering his space. Once he realizes the stranger has food, Ollie will happily show them where the valuables are kept. Ollie seems especially nervous about kids; we recommend a child-free home for Ollie.

We don't know what breed mix Ollie is. He's as fluffy as he is long and short, so the mix is guaranteed to be interesting. Ollie is current on his flea and heartworm preventatives and he's heartworm negative.

The best revenge is a life well lived. Because it's illegal (and, sure, wrong we suppose) to burn someone's house down. Want to help Ollie live the best life ever?
