About Bowser

Personality: Affectionate, Funny, Friendly, Playful, Loves

If Bowser, our 32 pound, 3 year old bulldog mix, had one ambition it would be to be a professional soccer player. He dreams of crowds cheering "Bowser!" as he moves the ball down the field - and then pops the ball and shakes the crap out of it. We don't have the heart to tell Bowser this is not how soccer is played. So we'll focus on our goal of getting him a forever home instead.

Bowser was brought to a local ER after someone found him stray in the midst of having a seizure. A strange story for sure; no one at the ER or at the shelter observed any seizures. We were asked to help as epilepsy isn't something the shelter can manage. Fortunately, we haven't seen any seizures in the weeks that we've had Bowser either. It's possible he was exposed to something toxic. Regardless, Bowser should stay on seizure medications for at least 6 months before his adopter tries to wean him off. We will send plenty to get started.

Friendly doesn't begin to describe our Bowser. He loves everyone and is good with both dogs and cats. Bowser does have a *tiny* humping problem, but this is getting better since he's been neutered (his old owner chopped off his ears but left his testicles). For that reason, a patient dog friend and older kids would be recommended. Bowser is house-trained, affectionate and cuddly. He loves a walk and doesn't pull hard on the leash. Bowser gets excited to see other dogs and barks to say hello - his adopter will want to work on this.

In the house, Bowser has been perfecting his crate training. He can take a little bit to settle in the crate but sleeps in there every night. Bowser loves toys and chews but doesn't know his strength. Stuffies do not last long once Bowser gets ahold of them. Toys for strong chewers should be plentiful in Bowser's new home.
Bulldogs don't breathe well and Bowser is no exception. Bowser's adopter should enjoy the sounds of snoring.

Bowser is heartworm negative and current on his preventatives.
